Does anyone remember this post? Well, guess what? I'm now the proud owner of a sewing machine...and not just any sewing machine. It's a very special sewing machine. :)
My brother-in-law surprised me a few days ago when he showed up at my house with my sister-in-law, Kara's, sewing machine. He wanted to give it to me. He didn't even know that I was wanting one! It's very special because two years ago, at the age of 27, Kara went to be with the Lord after a four year battle with colon cancer. She loved fashion and all things cute! She was only able to use her sewing machine two or three times before she was too sick to sew any more.
We were great friends and I miss her terribly. Kara always laughed and smiled everywhere she went. I hope to make things bright and cheery with my new sewing machine...just like she would have made!
I think that is terrific! What a nice gift! Can't wait to see what you make. :)
